The hall is the main centre for village social events.  It was originally the village school, constructed in the mid 19th century and designed by George Gilbert Scott during his formative years as an architect.  His father was Rector in the village for some years.  As a consequence of its Victorian heritage the hall boasts a unique design but has been updated to meet modern requirements.  It consists of a main hall with a well equipped kitchen leading off at one end and a modern toilet block, complete with disabled facilities, at the other.

The building has a new electric heating system and fully insulated upvc windows.

It also has wifi connection and a modern sound system.

The cost of hiring the hall is £8 per hour which includes electricity.
